INKspired Blog Hop & Sentimental Sunday
Welcome to another team INKspired blog hop. You may have just hoped here from my best-friend Kabrina. I love her card this week.
This weeks sketch design from Teneale is fabulous.
I have been doing a few cards lately with waterwash backgrounds, so I wanted to avoid that technique this week, as much as I love that look.
I am always saying to my customers "let the Designer Series Paper (DSP) do the work for you!" I really do need to follow my own instruction, because if you do follow me you will know that I really don't use much DSP at all on my creations. And I don't know why? There's so many beautiful ones in the catalogue and I am going to make it my mission to showcase them more.
My amazing, talented friend (and also hilariously funny...just so you know) Brian King is the master of showcasing Designer Series Paper on his projects. This week I decided I wanted to highlight one of my favourite papers in the catalogue from the English Garden pack, isn't it pretty? Ummm...YES! And not a lot of work required to create such a soft and pretty card....if I do say so myself! ;)

Sentimental Sunday is something I created for my blog and it's the day of the week I like to recognise someone special in my life. I don't manage to get to it every Sunday, but I am enjoying sharing the love when I do get to post on a Sunday, like today!
I made this card for a very special Aunty who turned 70 this week, Aunty Carol, who is, if we get technical, actually Daniel's Aunt, but she loves me like a niece and I'm so thankful for her love. Aunty Carol always has a smile and a hug when we see her and James, Master 10, put on a lovely and funny dance display this week for her Birthday. I'm sure she will be laughing about it for weeks....better than any card or present we could have given her....next time I'll just offer up James! LOL
Next on the hop is the super talented and super lovely Barbara. You will love her creation this week, I know I do!

Nice card Lou, I am sure your aunty will love it especially as your made it.
ReplyDeleteLou, I love how you used DSP as the focus for the sketch this week. The softness of the vellum really added the finishing touch. I'm sure your Aunt will love it too!
ReplyDeleteLovely card Lou and you have just made me want that DSP as well. Do I detect a bit of pink under the DSP?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove your use of DSP I too don't use it often enough! love the vellum! great card!
ReplyDeleteThat paper is stunning, well done :)
ReplyDeleteI will admit I was not a fan of this DSP until I show something you did with the paper then I was like...WHAT I love it. You have done a great job again, showcasing it.
ReplyDeleteIt is specifically aiming at small scale backyard beekeeping and covers topics specific to this type of bee husbandry.plagiarism detect
