IT'S BIG!!! #planning #planners #prettyplanning #memoryplanning
Yes, planners and planner pages are on trend at the moment and it's something I have started doing in the past couple of months using my Hello Lovely Project Life Card Collection from Stampin' Up! and fussy cutting out some of the elements and also using the stickers from the Accessories Kit.

As you all know, Stampin' Up! have awesome products for all sorts of papercrafting, card making and memory keeping addicts, like myself!  I decided to use things I already have to prettify my current planner.
The little Bow Clips Embellishments and Gold Binder Clips are seriously the best! I also made my own page bookmark using some the Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon.

Here's a snippet of a couple of my pages from this week:
*Planner is my own - not from Stampin' Up!
Other ideas that are going around my head with things I can use in my planner are endless. These include:
  • Other Project Life Card Collection & Accessory Packs on pages 164-165
  • Any of the Stamps. I especially like the Project Life Date It stamp on page 166.
  • Washi Tapes and Ribbons
  • Any of the Punches. The new Duet Banner Punch comes to mind on page 186.
  • The Thinlits & Framelits
I'm sure there's many other ideas I have missed, please let me know if you have other ideas. I will share more planner pages in the future with other ideas and I hope I have inspired you to get creative with your planners and journaling pages. #planning #youaregoingtoloveit

INKspired Blog Hop #37

24 July 2016

Hello!
EXCITING NEWS! The team INKspired Blog Hop is back. You may have just hopped here from Maree McIntosh. After visiting me, please make sure you hop all the way around by hitting the next button at the bottom of the page.

Teneale Williams, my Stampin' Up! upline has created some great sketches for the upcoming months and we will be sharing some beautiful creations. Here is this weeks sketch:

I am longing for Spring and sunshine. It has been a little cold this week and I thought about how some the beautiful flowers and roses are still blooming through the bleak weather. My thought for this card was a bright flower shining through the winter and fog, so I used the Vellum for the sentiment, layered with Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla to represent the cold mornings. Some heavy thinking for me, I know!

Next on the hop is the beautiful Barbara Williams. There are so many gorgeous creations in this group, be sure to hop all the way around and be inspired for the up coming week!

Currently you’re visiting Louise Sharp from Australia, Hello there! You can continue hopping my using the previous and next buttons at the end of this post. Now, let’s scroll down to see what I’ve been making.

My Mum has a beautiful friend called Valerie, who turns 80 this week. I'll admit that making an 80th card for Valerie was a bit strange, because she doesn't look a day over 60. I'm not just saying this to be nice, I even confirmed with Mum three times, just to be certain! Valerie always looks finished. Her hair and makeup is always perfect and she wears higher heels than I do. She is quick witted and as sharp as an axe and I'm sure you can imagine why I struggled making an 80th card for this *not so* old dear!
I was truly inspired by greens. whites and purples from our beautiful lavender growing along our white picket fence. The sun was beaming on it today and last week and I picked some for my craft room. I decided to use that colour scheme in today's card because it's just so pretty.
I used the Number of Years stamp set with the Large Numbers Framelits. I also love the little flowers in the Jar of Love Set, they so pretty and easy to cut using the Everyday Jar Framelits.

Colour Challenge - Global Design Project

18 July 2016

Welcome to the Global Design Project challenge for another week. We have something exciting starting this week with all upcoming colour challenges. Would you like to be a Guest Designer on the next colour challenge? Ummm, yes, of course you would! Why not show us what you've got this week and you could be selected? It would be such a treat to have you.

I used the Helping Me Grow set, and I don't know what colour these flowers are suppose to be, but for today's card they are pink - uh, sorry, Melon Mambo! I simply coloured with with a Blender Pen by picking up the ink from the Melon Mambo Ink Pad.

Helping Me Grow

Now, you should hopefully know by now what to do.....head on over to the Global Design Project and see what the Design Team has in store for you this week. And why not play along too?!

 Thanks for stopping by,

Blog edit:
Before I move on, let me explain!
Late this afternoon Daniel, my darling husband, arrived home work and he asked "so what's up for the GDP the week?" I replied "a colour challenge" and with that, he obligingly asked "what colours?" and I told him "Basic Black, Smoky Slate and Melon Mambo" (I will add that he is an amazing husband and knows all the SU colour chart!) "where's your card?" and I showed him. He gives me a funny look and says "this is Crumb Cake hun" and because I'm always right, he must be colour blind! No, unfortunately he is right! I used Crumb Cake. I was a little upset with myself, so he ventured into the craft room and made me a card. Sweet huh.

Here is his card using the Weather Together stamp set. I now need to add on his request that he his off in 'man-land' working on his latest cafe-racer motorbike project. He makes me laugh!

I really like the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set, with the little cake and the fun swirly font sentiments. It has been a lost stamp set in my craft room , quietly sitting at the back of draw, waiting its turn! I actually made it as a tag to start with and decided it needed to be placed on a card front with the large gold polka dots - cute huh?

Mehgan's Wedding - A trip to Arizona

14 July 2016

You may think this post isn't Stampin' Up! related, however, it is. It's all about Stampin' Up! actually. This company has given me the most amazing lifelong friendships and without it, I would never have met my Mehgan.

Back in 2013, I earned my very first Stampin' Up! Grand Vacation Incentive Trip. It was to Utah. The itinerary was to spend the initial three days at the North American Stampin' Up! Convention. (You can read about >here< if you would like to catch up.)

Daniel and I were staying at the Hilton, directly across the road from the Salt Lake City Convention Centre. On the first morning, I begged Daniel to come with me because I didn't really know anyone and with 6000 people attending, it was a little overwhelming. We entered the elevator and I introduced to myself to the 5 other eager crafting ladies heading down for the convention, of which, one of them was Mehgan. Mehgan said she knew who I was and was a regular visitor to my blog. (Insert mind explosion...boom! I thought the only person who possibly went to my blog back then was my Mum! Hahaha) I told her we must be friends for life. And we are.

This is our very first photo together back in 2013:

If you are a regular follower of my blog, (firstly thank you) you may know a little about Mehgan and some of our adventures. This one though, is by far my favourite. I was her only Bridesmaid/Maid of Honour at her Wedding in Phoenix, Arizona back in April and was so incredibly proud to be standing next her. It was a very special day.

George is one lucky guy!
Not only did Daniel and I get to visit Mehgan's home town of Phoenix for the first time, we got to meet George for the first time too! He is warm, funny and has a smile that radiates the room and when he sees Mehgan. It was such a beautiful wedding and a very special trip, it was hard to say goodbye. It was ugly tears - I have no photos of that!

It really is a bit lot horrible that they live on the other side of the world. I dearly miss Mehgan, however, at the same time, I am so grateful and blessed she is in my life.

Thanks to each and every single person, friend, family member and even you, my blog followers for all your support and love throughout my Stampin' Up! and life adventures. Giant hugs and kisses to you all.
Tons of Love,
