The Global Design Project have a fabulous theme this week - Home for the Holidays. It could be that you are at a different 'home' - possibly making your celebrations at your 'holiday home'? We would love you to play along and this challenge will run for two weeks.
For the past two years I have had the opportunity to prepare the Christmas table - which, as you know I LOVE to do! This year I was inspired by the Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon...I have rolls of it (because I love it so much) and I figured it needed to be used. The blue and white theme with a hint of gold and some beachy elements - I was going for an Aussie/Hamptons-style Christmas.
Merry Christmas. I spent the morning unwrapping gifts with kids followed by breakfast at my Mums with my brothers and their families then lunch at my place - needless to say that I am currently experiencing a food coma!!
The Christmas Table brings fond memories for me. When I was young our family celebrated Christmas at my Grandparents home and my Nan was always the most gracious host. Her cooking was filled with love and we tasted it with every mouthful. As I got older Christmas was hosted by my Mum and she too always put a lot of effort into making us feel loved - and full!

Stampin' Up! do such an amazing job of knowing what we need don't they? I mean, the creative designers must have known I would need Green Sprigs (page 12 Holiday Catalogue) for the napkins! And if you don't already own the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set, then you should. I use the 'Merry Christmas' sentiment every year and the stamp set is so versatile with sentiments for every occasion. The personalised monogrammed-style favours were made using the Letters for You stamp set and coordinating Large Letter Framelits. I used the holly from the Cheery Chirps stamp set (page 41 from the Holiday Catalogue), watercoloured them and used the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to give them some shine....yes it was a little tedious to cut them out - but sooo worth it!
