Welcome to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. You may have just arrive here from my lovely friend Kimberly Van Diepen from the US. At the bottom of the page please hit the next button to move around and see all the beautiful projects.
The the theme for this hop is focused around the Lift Me Up series including the coordinating Up & Away Thinlits Dies. Out there in the internet websphere this set is very popular and I can understand why! It's a very versatile bundle loaded with great sentiments and can be used for both masculine and feminine cards, including baby cards, graduations, thank yous, birthdays and more.
I wanted to focus on the hot air balloons in the stamp set because they are so sweet and I cut the pieces out from the 'Congratulations' sentiment from the Lift Me Up stamp set. The background is watercoloured onto Shimmery White cardstock, which I find really nice for watercolouring. I wanted the balloons to seem as if they were floating off the page, so I stamped the top and background piece together before mounting the top piece onto the extra layer. I'm quite happy with this sweet card!
Next on the hop is my lovely friend and talented papercrafter, Maike Ulbrich from Germany. I know you will be 'blown' away with her creation this week. #punintended
